Company Background and Information

LightSpeed Computers was founded in 1987 in Columbus, Ohio. We began as a computer systems integrator and consulting service. Our specialty was in helping home computer users pick the right computer system to meet their needs. Once this was determined, we would custom build their system, deliver and install it, and train them on its operation. Over time the end user market became saturated with vendor selling systems at virtually no margin and we then began to focus on the business market. This is when we began installing LANS. We still built our own systems so that we could control the quality of our product, but we began to take on larger projects. We focused typically on smaller businesses with 2-10 systems. This progressed to larger networks with 100's of workstations and began to include WANS and Internet connectivity. Finally, we decided to separate our Internet services off into another division.
