Earlier this year the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WOCCU’s charitable and engagement arm) launched its annual awareness and fundraising campaign, “Bridge the Gap” to address four worldwide inclusion gaps – digitalization, financial inclusion, women’s advancement, and young leaders. Inspired by the campaign and believing a brighter financial future should be accessible to everyone, CUNA Mutual Group has taken the campaign one step further and is challenging credit unions, CUSOs, and individuals to support WOCCU’s efforts. In turn, CMG will match every dollar donated (up to $1,000,000) to support the Bridge the Gap Campaign.
The Illinois Credit Union System is pleased to announce Envisant has accepted CUNA Mutual Group’s challenge and will be contributing $25,000 to the Worldwide Foundation. I strongly encourage every Illinois credit union to join us in helping the World Council celebrate their 50th Anniversary and help meet their campaign goal of $1.7 million. This is a great way to share with the industry your unexpected corporate refund you will be getting from NCUA in a couple of months!
