Sean Rathjen, Chairman
CEO, Consumers CU

Sean Rathjen has been the CEO of Consumers Credit Union in Gurnee, Illinois since 2004. Sean received his M.B.A. in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany and a B.A. in Economics from the State University of New York at Potsdam. He has also earned his Certified Chief Executive designation from the Credit Union Executive Society.
Tim O’Donnell, Vice Chairman
CEO, Financial Plus CU

Tim O’Donnell began his credit union career in 1980 in the loan department of Financial Plus Credit Union. He has been the CEO of Financial Plus since 2014. Tim has a long history of involvement with the Tri-County Chapter beginning in 1981 when he took on the role of the Illinois Youth Involvement Representative and then moved up to Chairman. He was elected to the League board in 2012.
Kerry Fearn, Secretary/Treasurer
CEO, Area Educational Credit Union

Kerry Fearn has been the President/CEO of Area Educational Credit Union since 2008. She has been in the credit union movement for almost 30 years. Kerry has served on the R. W. Boyle Chapter in various positions including IYIC Representative, Secretary and Chairman. She has been on the League Board since 2009. Kerry earned a B.S. and M.S. from Eastern Illinois University.

Alan Meyer, Director
CEO, 1st MidAmerica CU

Alan Meyer has been with 1st MidAmerica Credit Union since 2002 and assumed the role of CEO in 2013. Alan has been on the League Board since 2010. He also serves on the boards of the Riverbend Growth Association and the Madison County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska.
Jose Garcia
CEO, Northwest Community CU

Jose Garcia joined Northwest Community Credit Union in 2012. He has over 29 years of financial experience; 18 of which have been in the credit union industry. Jose has acquired a significant amount of operational acumen with emphasis in finance, technology, investment management and marketing. He is also a strong advocate on behalf of financial literacy program to assist his members.
Libby Calderone
CEO/President, Earthmover CU

Libby Calderone has worked in financial services for over 30 years. She has been the CEO/President of Earthmover Credit Union since 2006. Besides serving on the LSC Board of Directors, she is also the Chair of the Audit Committee for the ICU System. Libby also serves the credit union industry by acting as the Chair of the Supervisory Committee of Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union and is a Director of American Share Insurance. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois and holds the CCUIE designation from CUNA.
Brenda Crane, Director
COO, Credit Union 1

Brenda Crane is currently the Chief Operations Officer at Credit Union 1. She has been actively involved in the credit union movement for over 25 years and works to support the interests of both small and large asset sized credit unions.
E.J. Donaghey, Director
CEO, University of Illinois ECU

E.J. Donaghey has been CEO of the University of Illinois Credit Union since 2008. EJ earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and has a BS, Double Major in International Business & Spanish from Elmhurst College. EJ is a seasoned credit union executive with over 30 years of credit union experience that includes leadership expertise in corporate credit unions, credit union leagues, and retail credit unions.
Joseph Kregul, Director
CEO, HealthCare Associates CU

Joe Kregul is the President/CEO of HealthCare Associates Credit Union in Naperville Illinois. Prior to joining the credit union arena, he was always involved with financial services including leasing, banking, and even the regulator space via the RTC (Resolution Trust Corporation) and the FDIC. Joe is an alumnus of Lewis University with degrees in accounting and business administration and holds the Credit Union Executive Society CSE and CCE designations. Locally and outside of the credit union focus, he serves as board chair of the Project SEARCH business advisory council.
