Thomas H. Kane is President/CEO of the Illinois Credit Union System, taking leadership of the complex organizations of both the Illinois Credit Union League and LSC (ICUL Service Corporation) in June 2015. Tom has served in key corporate executive roles since joining ICUL in August 2003, which includes Chief Administrative Officer, Executive Vice President, Operations, and Chief Security Officer. As CAO, Tom led the successful implementation of a robust security infrastructure for PCI - DSS compliance. Tom previously held executive positions with Focal Communications, The Risk Sciences Group and Aon Corporation. In his early career he worked at Quaker Oats, and the Central Intelligence Agency. He earned his Master’s Degree in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame, as well as his Bachelor of Arts from Loras College.
Patrick Basler is SVP, Chief Strategy Officer for the Illinois Credit Union System. In his role, Patrick is responsible for new product development, lead the CUMA initiatives, and oversee the marketing & communications department. Prior to joining the ICU System in 2015, Patrick spent eight years as CEO for First Financial CU in Chicago. His entire professional career has been in the credit union movement, working in management roles at credit unions and CUSO’s in Wisconsin and Illinois. Patrick received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Milwaukee, with a double major in Finance and Marketing and is a CUNA Management School Graduate.
David Griffiths joined the Illinois Credit Union System in 2015. As EVP, Chief Operating Officer for LSC, David is responsible for the growth and retention of LSC’s business, as well as its future business strategy. He has over 30 years of experience working in the credit union movement in various sales and leadership positions. David previously worked for CUNA Mutual Group, Izale Financial Group, and was the founder of JAG consulting that provided valuable strategic planning facilitation, sales training as well as Leadership Coaching. He received his Bachelor’s from North Central College.
Karen Haas as EVP, Chief Financial Officer of the Illinois Credit Union System (ICUS), manages and directs the financial activities for all entities under the ICUS umbrella. Prior to joining the ICU System in 2012 as Vice President of Finance, Karen served as Vice President at Selden Fox, Ltd., CPAs for 23 years providing audit, tax and consulting services to the Illinois Credit Union System and Illinois Credit Unions. Karen has been a featured speaker at AACUL and a variety of association conferences, and is a member of AICPA, Illinois CPA Society, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. Karen earned her Bachelors in Accounting from Lewis University and received her Certified Public Accountant license from the State of Illinois.
Naomi Anderson is Vice President of Prepaid for LSC. In her current role, her team manages the day to day program support, customer service functions and implementations as well as program growth and marketing for the prepaid programs. Naomi’s career spans over 30 years in the financial industry. She started her career with Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago and has worked for Fiserv and Travelers Express. Before joining the cards department at LSC, she spent several years managing the successful item processing (SCIP) program. Naomi has her B. A. in Management from National Louis University and has earned her CUDE certification.
Karen Duffy joined the Illinois Credit Union System in 1983. Her career experience spans several areas, including the leadership positions of Director of Card Services, Vice President of Lending and Collections, Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, and Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Under her guidance, LSC has grown into a national brand with 44 State League Partners representing over 2300 credit union clients. In her current role as Vice President Card Solutions, Karen leads the partnership management team. Always driving LSC to offer increased value to credit unions, Karen was instrumental in the national launch of LSC’s Prepaid Card Program. Karen is a Certified League Executive graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Katherine Romano Schnack is the VP, Legal for LSC. In her current role, Katherine provides legal counsel and services to all areas and departments of LSC, with a focus on regulatory compliance, contracts, and fraud. Katherine first joined the ICUL Office of General Counsel in February 2016 and served there as compliance and corporate counsel until her move to LSC’s Legal Department.

Katherine previously worked for the Federal Trade Commission, where she primarily specialized in consumer protection litigation. She also has private law firm experience in employment law and commercial litigation. Katherine earned her B.A. in Classics from New York University and her law degree from Harvard Law School.
Jamie Conrad as Assistant Vice President of Sales and Business Analysis for LSC, manages the partner processors for debit and credit cards and leads the partner management team to ensure financial success for both credit unions and LSC. Jamie’s 23 career within the credit union industry began in 1994 at Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union. Since joining LSC in 1996, Jamie has held various key roles in sales, implementations, training, and billing. As a National Account Director, Jamie helped expand the LSC footprint nationally and developed relationships with many state League partners, credit unions, and processors. These relationships have contributed to the success of LSC being one of the premier Service Corporations in the country. Jamie received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Loras College.
John B. Dolan is Assistant Vice President Project Management, managing and directing project activities for all entities under the LSC. Prior to joining LSC in 2018, John served as an independent consultant to LSC and other clients in the telecommunications space. Before John’s role as an independent consultant, he held various positions in manufacturing, retail, and telecommunications with Container Corporation of America, Montgomery Ward, Color Communications, Focal Communications, Broadwing Communications, and Level 3 Communications. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the Northern Illinois University.
Lisa Falconer is the AVP, Human Resources of the Illinois Credit Union System (ICUS). She leads the Human Resources department and is responsible for overseeing talent acquisition and management, benefits, compensation, employee relations, policy design and compliance.

With over 25 years of experience in her field, Lisa has worked for financial and professional services firms, building and transforming HR departments and winding them down due to mergers and acquisitions. Since joining ICUS in 2015, Lisa has increased productivity and efficiency through process review and automation. She completed her B.S. in Accountancy and her M.B.A in Human Resources Management at DePaul University. Lisa is a lifelong learner certified as a CPA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CBP and CCP.
Kunal Keshav joined the Illinois Credit Union System in 1999 and is AVP/Chief Technology Officer. He has over 18 years of diversified IT leadership, management and hands on experience in information technology and Cyber Security. Along with his team Kunal supports the organization by providing technology, Cyber Security, and processes necessary to enable ICUS to serve its Credit Union customers. Kunal has a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVry University.
Steven Ryniec is the AVP of Sales and Channel Partnerships for LSC. In his role, he is responsible for product sales and client retention. In addition, Steven manages all of LSC’s League Partnership and referral partners. Steven spent most of his time serving credit unions in sales and sales leadership working for CUNA Mutual Group and CU Direct prior to joining LSC in 2012. Steven’s professional career started in 1998 at Motorola Employees Credit Union (now Andigo CU) gaining valuable experience working in member services, sales, credit cards, as well as mortgage and auto lending. Steven has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Management from Elmhurst College.
